I think if the speculators stop buying and simultaneously flood the market with their 2nd and 3rd homes, it will lead to the buyer's market of a generation (or two). And we'll see just how many giant homes and condos are actually necessary, sans speculators. The home builders won't take that lying down, they'll be cutting prices and offering perks to keep from going under. It will be quite something to watch.
