Reconstitute the UN into a NUN. <We've beaten to death the issue of Iran & nuclear power. I have always realised they want the bomb. So more to the point, what do you think we should do about it?>

Unfortunately, that takes us back to a bigger problem than Iran's Islamic Jihad bomb. The problem is the unwillingness of the USA to recognize that it is just 4% of the world's population and is not a race of superhumans with super-rights and super-sensibilities and right to rule.

That is an eons-old problem and unfortunately, all too often, ends in carnage as people with power are usually megalomaniacs who are unable to see that even if the mob bows to them and ululates, it's mostly in the interests of self-preservation rather than true love.

The USA is the world's pre-eminent power which is paradoxically, the right time to fix things up so that when that power inevitably rebalances around the centre of gravity, it doesn't end in a French Revolution process.

On population control, that's been done and now it's just a matter of waiting. Around the world women have cut back their production of people. If anything, lack of people will be the issue, not that I think that's likely to be a problem other than to feed the ever voracious tax bludgers who should go on a diet and get a real job. I quite like there being lots of people. There's plenty of room to be isolated if I wish.
