I always wondered if premium gas increases mileage by 10%? If so, it's a good deal as $0.20 extra per gallon is less than 10%.

Al, These notions really work. I have improved my mileage by almost 20%...

Good job, Al. My wife and I started carpooling whenever we can. Sacrifice a little convenience but save a little gas ... and it all adds up.

Where's the gov with some national level program of getting the message out?

Well, will we see the return of the 55 MPH speed limit? Or are people going to demand the right to speed like the devil?

Moreover, given how Bush is supposedly in bed with the oil companies, wouldn't the message of conservation go over just as well as anti-smoking commercials sponsored by Philip-Morris? Reminds me of the "glass shard lollipop" commercial ...
