Americans want Demorats and Repugnicans to cut pork and corporate welfare and many other things, IMHO, to pay for Katrina. Most still support the Iraq war, and of the nevertheless critical majority, many want to spend more there than we have, to better do the job (which explains what you have wrongly imagined is contradictory). Will they give up their corporate entitlement programs and windfall pork, etc?

Not likely.

As a result, the Democrats and the Republicans are becoming sharply divided within their respective parties. The general public is by and large disgusted with the dishonest greed of the politicians from both parties.

Your attempt to blame just one of them is grade school failing material.
