ORFR...and don't forget about this- (COMTEX) B: ORBIT/FR Awarded $10 Million Contract from European Aerospace B: ORBIT/FR Awarded $10 Million Contract from European Aerospace Contractor ( CO Aug 05, 2005 (CORPORATE CONFERENCE CALL ABSTRACTS via COMTEX) -- ORBIT/FR Inc. today announced it has received a $10 million contract for an anechoic-shielded chamber to be used by a major European aerospace contractor for its electromagnetic and antenna measurement testing facility. The company said the contract represents the implementation phase of the system, which is scheduled to be delivered to the customer's site in 2007, and includes a large shielded chamber with RF absorption capability and a large positioning system. ORBIT/FR has teamed with Rainford EMC Systems Ltd., Wigan, England, to construct the RF shielded chamber, representing approximately one-third of the project. The RF absorbing subsystem and the positioning system will be implemented by ORBIT/FR's wholly owned subsidiaries, Advanced ElectroMagnetics Inc. and ORBIT/FR Engineering Ltd. "We look forward to delivering what we believe to be one of the world's most advanced turnkey RF testing facilities," said Israel Adan, president and CEO of ORBIT/FR. "We believe that our extensive experience in full turnkey chamber design and implementation, including our high-quality antenna measurement equipment and technologies, were the key contributors to this award." ORBIT/FR is a producer of automated microwave test and measurement systems for the aerospace, defense, wireless communication, automotive and satellite industries.
