The only two possibilities are (in order of likelihood): The domestic enemy in the Senate has decided that Roberts is a done deal and they don't want to unmask their weakness before the next fight. or GWB has found his George Mitchell and sold out on the NEXT nomination, and is willing to allow his party to be DESTROYED so that the MSM will give him 5 seconds of credit for being a "Uniter, not blah, blah, blah." GWB's father pulled the absolutely DUMBEST move in political history with his Mitchell deal. It became his legacy, and EVERYONE, including GWB, knows that. So, for now, I believe the former scenario is what is playing out. But stay tuned...
