As a bearish person (for the moment) I was thinking that was good news, as I had been worrying that maybe a big triangle was forming here and now it can't be unless this is a throwover (as this would be wave E - A is the May bottom). None of the other technical indicators were bullish IMO which is why I was short. A triangle is still possible in SPX though. Dow is about around its uptrend line here (which I see as a great big bear flag or B wave or something).
