Why did Clinton say Saddam was a threat?

No the real problem is you are simply to stupid to understand the threats tangible and intangible represented by Sadam. 911 simply cause a psychological context that rendered those threats intolerable to reasonable and responsible cautious individuals.

"The only solution you can imagine to the big bad Saddam threat is to pave the country and rebuild. " Really dumb logic.

The only solution to the threat of Saddam was the elimination of Sadam. I believe the most prudent investment for long term stability and peace in the middle East and changing the hearts and minds of those in the middle East to reject the hate message of binnie is to invest in rebuilding Iraq.

America is and will continue to act cautiously, with clarity and unwavering purpose. And it matters little if you can see or understand that.

Oh and in a country the size of Iraq and the lack of control over it by Saddam, there was simply no way it could be watched so it would not be used by binnie and his wackos. Do you think Saddam would care if he dealt with binnie's boys to make money on oil or anything else?
