F-15 is an incredible aircraft. When I was station at Kadena AFB on Okinawa they'd secure the airspace an a test pilot would fly the planes that were in for major overhauls. This test pilot would put the plane through everything that it could do.....it was amazing. They also had one of the last active SR-71 Blackbirds. The Blackbird leaks fuel like a sieve until it gets up to operating speed and altitude which was Mach 3+ and 80000ft respectively. Watching it take off was another trip, it had 30ft blue perfectly focused flames shooting out the back. The pilot would nose up as soon as he got the wheels off the ground and retracted and in about a minute he'd disappear into the wild blue yonder.
