No, the Iraq War needs to end ASAP. It was a huge mistake.
Maher is wrong if he believes that. True we cannot withdraw 100% right away, but a majort gradual withdrawl is necessary. Until we do, the Iraqis will just keep stalling and let us do all the fighting and paying. Bushie oil companies kay enjoy controlling the oilfields, but the rest of us have been totally screwed by Bush's war. It has increased terrorism and is not making any real progress toward Bush's ever-shifting vague, secret goals.

I say bring back 10,000 men per month or so and then leave about 40,000 as an emergency force a la Korea. That's it.
We should also be getting Iraqi oil to pay for all our expenses as the rightwing promised us before the war. Plus Halliburton should be investigated and heavily fined.
