Seems one of the reasons not to put too much faith in "glorious" democracy is to look what the Republicans have wrought. Look at Rove. He has surly wove a silk purse out of a sows ear with Bush. "200 individuals in a position to know came forward and said Kerry was a puke and the word, the truth did get out." Subverted democracy is more like it. The Republicans hold onto power by playing the most cynical political games. Do you like tax cuts even if the country can't afford it?
