It's bad enough that centralized government engages itself it social engineering. If we're going to do that, we should at least positively reinforce the right things. But we're not smart enough or disciplined enough or of one mind so we end up reinforcing the wrong things. First do no harm, I say, and the best way of doing that is to let nature take its course.

There must be some good economic reason but I am not that savy to grasp it.


People spending money create jobs and helps the economy growing.

What would the point be if we all saved our money and lived like poor people.

Of course there has to be balance.

And, that is the key to everything. Balance.

That is one thing they don't teach kids - how to find a healthy balance to things. Smart kids usually find it on their own. And of course a lot of grown ups will never have a clue.
