That is the most ludicrous logic possible. Don't speak against the war because the opposition may continue to fight and more soldiers will die.

When the initial deployment was occurring I believe unity was important, but as more evidence was found that the reasons we were there were unfounded it becomes more difficult to keep quiet. How long do you watch while things are going wrong before you speak out?

If we don't speak out, and point out what's wrong with the pre-emptive strike policy it will be repeated. And more soldiers will die needlessly. Don't we have a responsibility to them?

Ending this war and not starting another one will save more soldiers lives than staying quiet.
