Poet, I think your husband is very brave and unselfish, and I hope he has an adventurous but safe experience helping the hurricane victims. I'm sure I've missed several of your posts recently--my computer must be totally out of memory because is groans almost audibly when I try to post, and moving between screens is achingly slow. So please excuse my question if it was asked and answered before.

What motivated your husband to volunteer for this mission, and how does one get in the loop of getting the training that is required to go help in such disasters?
