I have a spreadsheet with the % of portfolio in each thing and then a list of betas and it calculates for me. I have lots of interconnected spreadsheets and record each trade (I don't actually do many trades). But like I put down all regular Aussie mutual funds as beta =0.89 and anything I don't know as 1 and so it is very rough. The idea is so I know roughly what I'd need to do to get to market neutral or net short as there is a core invested long all the time, but I am gradually shifting it away from equity.
