I hope to hell that MQ is right about the peak in energy prices right now. ... If they work, it will be another example of market innovation making the important changes for this country and the rest of the world. I hope he is incorrect. It is the high prices that will allow innovation. If the prices collapse, the innovation will only occur with substantial government subsidies. That's the bind we have been in so far. If oil stays in the $50+ range for a few years I think we might well build enough momentum to get over the technological top.
