DCGN Is down for 4th day on a roll and it seems it may test the June 24 L of 7.55

The intraday L at 9.45AM today was 7.83 and the nearest support is now at 8.09 with resistance at 8.37 (Trading at 8.24 at present.)

The 2ndQ revenues were 19% better and the loss for the Q of $0.25/shr was unchanged from last year. The EL for 2005 is around $1.20/shr vs. $1.07/shr last year and $1.30/shr loss estimated for 2006.

On June 27 they reported some positive results for DG041 in PAOD and said that they identified the EP3 receptor as a drug target through its population genetics research.

As you know, they also have been working on products for asthma, for heart attack (DG031)and for obesity and type2 D.M.

They have a large D/E ratio of 7.2 and the insiders did some selling last month.

From a longer term perspective, the major resistance is around 10.20 before it can retest the August 16 H at 10.67 The February 2004 H was 13.80 and the July 2000 H was 31.50

[TELK] Bernard .. what do you think of TELK here ?

Looks like it found Good Support after it retraced and is Sporting an 8to10NPL Formation on day 12 which if it confirms tomorrow with a White Candle could turn into a Reversal of the last 11 days.

From a longer term perspective, the major resistance is around 10.20

Well it traded at 10.77 at 9.32 & 9.33AM and has only closed part of the upgap showing some intraday support at the 10 level.<g>

It reported the discovery of a variant in a gene on chromosome 10 that represents the most significant genetic risk factor for type 2 DM (T2D)

deCODE Launches deCODE MI(TM) -- A Test for a Major Genetic Risk Factor for Early-onset Heart Attack
Thursday October 11, 7:30 am ET

REYKJAVIK, Iceland, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- deCODE genetics (Nasdaq: DCGN - News) today announced the launch of deCODE MI(TM), a reference laboratory test for variations in the genome (called SNPs) that the company has associated with increased risk of myocardial infarction, or heart attack.

The SNPs are located on chromosome 9 and were discovered by deCODE earlier this year.

As described in the journal Science in July, deCODE scientists found that people who carry two copies of these variants are at double the risk of suffering an early heart attack -- before the age of 50 in men and 60 in women -- than are those who do not carry them.

deCODE validated the role of these variants in five groups of patients and controls from Iceland and the United States, and other researchers have replicated this finding in several European, US, and Canadian cohorts.

"With the launch of deCODE MI, we have taken another of our breakthroughs in genetics and transformed it into a new tool in the fight to prevent heart attack.

While many risk factors for heart attack are understood, the disease remains the leading cause of death in the industrialized world and the early- onset cases often take both patients and doctors so dangerously by surprise.

deCODE MI(TM) tests for a genetic risk factor that is independent of other risks such as cholesterol, obesity and smoking, and therefore provides a means of identifying individuals who may derive particular benefit from earlier and more aggressive prevention efforts,"
said Dr. Kari Stefansson, CEO of deCODE.
