I agree, and I can't deny that obvious fact, but it could also be easily explained by the 30 year hurricane cycle... I did read that article... we have to be very careful not to declare something is causal when it may only be contiguous, let's see what happens over the next few years... as I posted on the Bush thread, I think, at best, the jury is still out on this... the use of fossil fuels may only be contiguous with any warming and not causal, if warming indeed occurs... certainly, there are peaks and valleys of global warming that occurred naturally over the many millions of years before us, we have evidence of that as well, and I don't think anyone can blame the use of fossil fuel as the cause for those eariler warmings, unless cavemen also burned fossil fuel... I'll definitely follow this closely with serious interest, I appreciate the article...

In both 1960 and 1961 we had two cat 5 hurricanes in the same season, 2005 is the third time it has happened... you can notice the 30 year cycle at work here (although it's 44 and 45 years apart, not significant when it comes to long term cycles)...
