I don't advocate an immediate withdrawal. There isn't an easy answer to getting out of Iraq. That is the main reason Kerry lost. He had no real difference from GW. The only real option is to stay until there is some kind of government in Iraq. But I don't trust this administration to get us to that point as quickly as possible. I think they are culturally illiterate when it comes to understanding the fragmented nature of the Kurds, Sunnis and the Shiites and hence have no clue how to talk to them to bring them together as a country.

Utlimately I think we need to light a fire under W. We owe that to all the soldiers that will die if this continues longer than it needs to.

In addition we need to learn from this and not repeat the mistake.
