I could be wrong, certainly wouldnt be the first time, but I think that the GOP leadership is scared to death to have that issue go back to the states. Right now prochoice GOP women can vote for fiscal conservatives without worrying about the issue. There may be a mass exodus of such persons from the GOP is Roe is overturened, and state legislatures are empowered to make that decision.
