Yes, it is. Like waiting for a cancer report and anticipating the worse. Our neighborhood seems very quiet and not much traffic.

Our neighbor, the one with all trees in his front yard, also has a beautiful bay home on Galveston bay and will lose much more than we will I'm sure. He has had it for a long time and during one of our bad hurricanes before, the water just went through and washed everything out of the house. He had it insured and built it all back.

Ours is a small house built up on drill stem and when we bought it thought if it blew down would rebuild something nicer, which up until now has survived all storms since 1961. We are also pondering whether we will rebuild as we are past retirement age and don't think we would want to retire there due to possible hurricanes in the future. They really are a lot to contend with for the young as well as the older folks. We will see what happens and if it should survive, think about that then.
