well, it's not like i'm predicting a WW. just look at history of civilizations, and when you have a hegemony as dominant as the US, they don't seem to go down quietly. maybe the US will be an exception and obediently pass the baton to the Muslims or Chinese, but we've already seen the US become increasingly belligerent, which is not a good sign. who knows how long it will take, though. that sort of vague musing based on historical precedent is, imo, totally different from Ruppert's very specific declaration that Rita will cause the dissolution of the United States not only as a "superpower", but as a "nation".
