I think that market has ignored just too much of bad news in the last year. Interest rates and oil come first to mind. Outrageously high prices on Canadian oil sands stocks and their happy owners come next. -VBG-

IMO P/C ratios are no longer can be associated with market sentiment. Puts and calls are sold en masse to "generate safe income". Look at your "favorite" site: investmentu.com . What you see is:

Look at VIX -- it shows high complacency. Risk is sold cheap.
