For now, for me this is a normal ebb and flow of high activity and low activity periods for tropical storms.

But for federal don't-break-the-bank budgetary purposes, and for the national flood insurance program, it is a serious mistake to set precedents that only make sense if there is not global warming, IMNSHO.

Well Harvey...

Don't get me wrong. I love a good English accent as much as anybody. But this "loonie in the States" can only suggest that Sir John would do well to get off his bike... and buy a good history book.

It doesn't much matter which one... as long as it covers the last 3 billion years it will be good enough.

If he can find anything in that history to suggest that the Royal Commission... or any other "brilliant lights" on his side of the pond... can reasonably expect to eliminate the "negative" impact of humanity on this globe... without eliminating most if not all of said humanity... I will do everything in my power to have him/them designated Lord(s) of the Universe.

But until then... Sir John is just going to have to put up with all my Titanic jokes about his penchant for spitting into the hurricane winds. <vbg>

Heck Harvey... even if we all agreed on what the "negative" impacts are... and could devise realistic and "loonie" proof ways of avoiding them... some Animal Farm reject somewhere will still infect us all with a deadly flesh eating virus... if it can do so before the Big Rock arrives and rewrites the environmental script. <ack><ack>

You'll have to excuse me now. I have to go propose some emergency anti euthanasia, anti abortion, pro cloning, free health care and open border legislation. ...The more the merrier I always say. <Hoo><Haa><Hoo>
