The sulfur molecules in garlic are similar in action to early sulpha antibiotics developed during WW-I.

Unfortunately antibiotics are not designed to inhibit viral infections, and sulpha antibiotics specifically have no documented effect on viral replication.

Ironically, some antibiotics such as Tobramycin, Bleomycin, and Cipro, effectively control the replication of many types of virus. The reason for this is not proven, but many speculate they act as an anti-sense inhibitor -- since these antibiotics, when inside a human cell, are often found nestled next to the DNA.

In fact Bleomycin is also an effective anti-cancer drug by preventing growth of the tumor.

But that's the fun part of a pandemic. Everyone gets the freedom to choose their own treatments or preventatives and to prepare or not as they wish.

Guess wrong and you're dead, guess right and you win a longer life. Very democratic.
