Not only that, the money for the Levees that NO did get was stolen by Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu.

I don't mind blaming Clinton for what Clinton did as long sa we hold GW responsible for what GW does. jb

Why do have the feeling that even if the Clinton and Bush administrations approved and spent every dime asked by the Engineers, Congress and NO officials the result would have been the same? Wasn't it an army engineer who said: "There are two kinds of levees: Those that have failed and those that will fail."? At some point we have to look around and ask if anyone really believes that spending, say $20 billion, on levee fixes and improvements now would make NO any safer in the future.
