Maybe it's outlandish, but I note the outcome so far is that King George II is still in power, the profits are flowing and Osama is still on the loose.

Osama is a good buddy and family member of aristocratic Saudis, who are associated with Saudis who are good buddies with the King George II Oil Association Incorporated.

It's a bit of a family fight. The main thing is to keep the oil profits flowing.

I'd have been really keen to catch Osama. Saddam was annoying and maybe King George II was so offended by the apparent attempt on his father's and wife's lives that he thought vengeance against the alleged perpetrator [Saddam and Sons Inc] was much more important. He was also desperate to bring democracy and freedom to Iraqis. For some reason, they needed democracy and freedom much more than do people in Myanmar, in Africa, and elsewhere [such as, ahem, Saudi Arabia which supplied the Twin Tower terrorists].
