How about a bond denominated in Rand issued by the World Bank paying 8.38% and maturing in 2011? Sound good? Why would the World Bank do this? Maybe I should be more conservative and go with Canadian Dollars... Or Aussie Dollar bonds issued by the Republic of Austria...

Citibank sent me a huge spreadsheet of bonds but I am not really sure where to start. Most major currencies are covered and corporations, governments, and maturities.
