I am angry at Karl Rove's smear campaigns, yes. As we should all be. The only reason Bush even took responsibility for FEMA's failure was that everyone saw it on TV and knew it was true already. Plus honest conservatives like Scarborough were nailing Bush on it, and knew what they were talking about.

Otherwise, Bush-Rove would have lied about it as usual. I am also sick of the GOP saying what a good job Haley Barbour did just because he is a corrupot fat cat pro-pollution crony of Bush-Cheney's. He did no different a job than Governor Blanco. Not nearly enough. But both of them had half their Nation Guards in Iraq, so the blame goes back to Bush again.

Bush-Delay also cut the levee funding to send the money to Iraq.

lorne, it appears AS is always angry, as are many of the "lets get out now" bunch which doesn't help when it comes to making a logical argument. AS can't get over the fact that the majority of both parties thought Saddam was a threat that needed to be dealt with. I don't necessarily agree with the way Bush took us into Iraq, but it wasn't the first time in our history that the president initiated an action because he thought it was in best interest of our country. The cynical idea that the only reason that we're there is because of oil is BS. Oil may be the reason why we have so much interest in the middle east of course, it's the life blood of this country.
