Let's wait and see how the Times management takes to being excoriated by their own Public Editor at regular intervals.

What will heat it up is that Geraldo and O'Reilly will be on Calame's article like white on rice. A lot of publicity on FOX will not sit well with the NYT Boo-bahs. Plus, it gives Geraldo one hell of a leg up on his threat to sue.

It's just amazing how the culture of an organization can be so resistant to change. They just announced a layoff of 500 people and are losing money big time. Why intelligent people can't connect the dots and understand that quality, fairness and journalistic integrity lie at the heart of their organizational problems with the customer astounds me.

All those resources, all those Ivy League grads and all those years of talking with the public to get news stories can't save them from themselves.

Just finished a very interesting book called "The Wisdom of Crowds". Times management should read it.
