Last I saw "Die Fledermaus" was New Years Eve 2000 at the Met in NYC. Do I need to tell you that was great stuff at a great time? After the performance (3. act only as usual with many extras) I took my loved one to "Fiorello", a well known Italian ristorante on Broadway just opposite to the Lincoln center. With the food we had that excellent 1997 Chianti Classico "Riserva" from Fontodi. Fiorello I believe is the only restaurant in NYC with Fontodi wines on the wine list. This spring we had the same wine 2001 same place. A great wine and fortunately I have 60 bottles of it stored at home in San Diego and Munich. What a night that 2000 was... Taro
