As such, firm expects the stock to appreciate in excess of 60% over the next twelve months relative to the mkt, as the co's Transportation, Broadband, and Access businesses fuel top-line growth, while expanding gross margins and tight expense control accelerate earnings growth to 35% in 2006.

UBS noting they examined the bill of materials for the 4GB iPod nano since it could be Apple's "key product" into 2006. In short, the firm believes that nano margins should scale nicely over time and near-term they do not expect a meaningful dilution to the 20% gross margin range for iPods. Based on analysis, they believe the material cost of the iPod nano approximates 65%-70% of its selling price. Firm continues to believe the nano will fuel momentum into the holiday season, lending support to their iPod estimates into FY07. For FY06, they believe nano sales will account for ~50% of iPod units sold. Also visits to retailers as well as many company stores indicate that the back to school season went well for Apple due to solid demand for iBooks & iMacs. Maintains Buy and upg tgt to $64 from $59.
