The key question for me is WHY HAS OUR CONGRESS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE OVERSIGHT THAT THE FRAMERS OF THE CONSTITUTION ENVISIONED...? Why has Congress failed to Impeach / Fire Mr. Bush...?

Re: "Bush was busy telling the American people that he hoped things could be solved without going to war.

He lied...plain as day. He wanted to go to war...then looked for ways to justify it...then told Americans that he hoped war could be avoided. That's clearly not what he hoped for, nor was it his policy. That's lying."

No, he went to war after trying to solve problems without doing so. I'd wished he'd moved sooner in fact, without pussy-footing around with the U.N. so long. Saddam was without a doubt uncooperative. I've no doubt Bush hoped war could be avoided, and I believe it could have been indeed, even with Bush Jr. at the helm. It's on Saddam, without question.
