Donna Brazile, who is a Louisiana native, joined Landrieu's campaign after the general election and worked on turning out the African-American vote. The turnout from that community was seriously below expectations during the general election. Brazile won that election for Landrieu.

Before Terrell made it a horse race, her support from the White House was tepid. Landrieu had been relatively cooperative - by Democratic standards - with GWB's agenda.

It has only been, what three years since that election? I doubt a Republican could have undone all the years of corruption done in that state by Landrieu...how much money did she pocket that was earmarked for Levee restoration?
