Do you really think Al Sistani wants to purge Iranian interests? I think Al Sistani would like to see a fundamentalist Middle East based on Shiite control. His people have been put down for a LONG time by the Sunnis, so I think he wants HIS people (the Shiites) to get their day in Iraq and everywhere else. If you think he's gonna cut himself off from Iran and give the Sunnis any more than he has to, (before crushing them), then I think you're naive about human nature.
