As for Calame and Okrent "wrapped up in hate" for their employer, it beats me why you would think that. Care to elaborate? Do you think they are?

I do not think so at all. It is you who think so - it is you said that Calame must have come "with an agenda" - it is you who can propose no other reason for BOTH public editors having major problems with Krugman, or with the NYT's refusal to issue due corrections.

May I remind you that the question of Geraldo's "nudge" was not brought forward by me in my supposedly hate-filled scanning of the NYT, but by their own Public Editor, who thought it important enough to mention? As it stands, they are clearly in the wrong and refuse to admit it. Is that your idea of a professional attitude?

So nudge is a little word and all are nitpicking. That little word nudge was used in sentence to give that sentence meaning. The meaning was used to assassinate the character of a person. That the word was used falsely to convey a lie about anothers character to assassinate it is no big deal to those who live by the gospel of bill and hillary and their gospel of personal destruction as required.

If the facts do not support your political agenda, the facts must be trivial. Thus we see Character assassination is trivial.

That seems to be the moral of the gospel of life according to JohnM.

After all it was just a lie about nudge not sex. LOL....
