When my kids were young I would buy them stocks with a div reinvestment plan. A couple were Mattel and Harley Davidson

If she's intersted in fashion find a hot fashion stock whose clothes she likes. Sports, same thing. Is she into science? Science stock. Technology-ipod=apple etc. ken

Ernie, how about BABB? It's a microcap with a nice dividend and an easy story to understand - they sell bagels and coffee. I wouldn't invest her money in large cap stocks - too risky.<g>

Market Guide has the yield at 4.7%.

Check FJC. Not sexy, but historically cheap and now yielding about 6%. Also trades at less than its reported book value.
