Good to see you critical of Bush. Everyone should be.
if you're a loyal Republican, fine, but your Grand Ole Party deserves a lot better.

I would recommend you look into Chuck Hagel. He is one of the only Repubs who has tried to tell the truth, bucking the Bushies to do so. That takes courage. What we need in our leaders is honesty and courage. The two most important qualities.

He does the republican party a bit of a disservice with his poor presence and command of the language.

I think he should not be judged by that. He is OK as far as communication is concerned. He speak in simple sentences and I think there is nothing wrong with that. In fact that is considered an asset in politics.

What I have problems with is that he is not an original thinker. He is not that brilliant as Clinton was. Not sure if you heard Clinton's reason on why FEMA failed in NO. He defended ex-FEMA chief Brown in a benign way. He said that it was the organization wherein FEMA was included under Homeland Security that was to blame. And I wonder why Bush cannot display that foresight, that sort of a vision for this country whether it is a vision for Social Security or Medicare drug program etc.
