From my perspective this is true pretty much across the board. There is hardly an industry in Europe (especially Central Europe) that is not directly affected either by China or in the case of services by India.

As you are aware, Europeans travel quite extensively outside of their own borders. Combined with much more news coverage of international issues, there is considerably more trend awareness. I watched an excellent debate on this particular issue on Swiss TV DRS1 (the show is called "Arena", where the Swiss debate current issues) a few months ago where representatives of industry and labor were trying to find solutions and were openly talking about how much the Swiss standard of living might have to decline in order to remain competitive.

However, it is also important to note that Europeans view China as a very attractive future consumer market and that brings some balance to the negative views.
