Anyone know if Grover Norquist is a Muslim.

No, he's not. Grover sub-leased some space to these people years ago, and become friendly with them. When 911 hit, he stayed loyal, believed their lies, and now has egg on his face.

The left is trying to "Rove" this story. But I don't think there is any "there" there.

Galloway's Muslim Wife Wants a Divorce
..........................................................

George Galloway, the pro-Arab, pro-Saddam, pro-terrorist British MP who formed a party called “Respect,” is being sued for divorce by his Palestinian wife on the eve of the election. (Hat tip: NY Nana.)

GEORGE GALLOWAY, the controversial leader of the Respect party, is facing a damaging divorce action on the eve of the election.

His Palestinian-born wife questions how he can call the party Respect when she claims he has been disrespectful to her by having a series of friendships with other women. Amineh Abu-Zayyad has told The Sunday Times she can no longer tolerate his behaviour and will be contacting solicitors this week.

She says she has received a number of phone calls from women who claim to have had romantic links with him. She adds that Galloway has tried to smooth things over by telling her it is a plot by an unnamed intelligence service to discredit him.

The threatened divorce action will be a blow to Galloway, who is standing for election in Bethnal Green and Bow, east London. He is trying to attract the substantial Muslim vote in the constituency to displace the sitting Labour MP, Oona King.

Divorce still has a social stigma in the Muslim world where a man can technically divorce his wife by saying he is divorcing her three times. But it is still unusual for a Muslim woman to divorce her husband.

Speaking from their home in Streatham, south London, Galloway’s wife, a Muslim, said: “I should tell you that when he told me his new party was going to be called Respect, I went upstairs and cried. How can he call it this when he doesn’t even treat his own wife with respect?”

Zayyad, a 39-year-old scientist, married Galloway five years ago. They had met at a political meeting in Glasgow in 1991. “He was my hero,” she says. “He did such a lot for the Palestinians.”

Norquist married a 32 year old Palestinian American Muslim in early April.

He has also reportedly avoided answering whether he himself is planning on converting (according to most accepted forms of Islamic law a non-Muslim man may not marry a Muslim woman).

Is Grover Norquist an Islamist?
April 14, 2005

danielpipes.org

Is Grover Norquist an Islamist? Paul Sperry, author of the new book, Infiltration, in an interview calls Grover Norquist "an agent of influence for Islamists in Washington." When asked by FrontPageMag.com why a Republican anti-tax lobbyist should so passionately promote Islamist causes, Sperry implied that Norquist has converted to Islam: "He's marrying a Muslim, and when I asked Norquist if he himself has converted to Islam, he brushed the question off as too ‘personal.'" As Lawrence Auster comments on this exchange, "Clearly, if Norquist hadn't converted to Islam, or weren't in the process of doing so, he would simply have answered no."

Indeed, Norquist married Samah Alrayyes, a Palestinian Muslim, on April 2, 2005,</b? and Islamic law limits a Muslim woman to marrying a man who is Muslim. This is not an abstract dictum but a very serious imperative, with many "honor" killings having resulted from a woman ignoring her family's wishes.

Alrayyes (now known as Samah Norquist) has radical Islamic credentials of her own; she served as communications director at the Islamic Free Market Institute, the Islamist organization Norquist helped found. Now, she is employed as a public affairs officer at the U.S. Agency for International Development – and so it appears that yet another Islamist finds employment in a branch of the U.S. government.

Grover Norquist has for some years now been promoting Islamist organizations, including even the Council on American-Islamic Relations; for example, he spoke at CAIR's conference, "A Better America in a Better World" on October 5, 2004. Frank Gaffney has researched Norquist's ties to Islamists in his exhaustive, careful, and convincing study, "Agent of Influence" and concludes that he is enabling "a political influence operation to advance the causes of radical Islamists, and targeted most particularly at the Bush Administration."

But if Grover Norquist is indeed a convert to Islam, it could be that he is not just enabling the Islamist causes but is himself an Islamist. (April 14, 2005)

Sep. 30, 2005 update: A biography of Samah Norquist gives a more complete explanation of her U.S. government job. She is

the Public Affairs Specialist for Arab and Muslim outreach at the Bureau of Legislative and Public affairs at USAID. In her position, she works on developing and implementing communications and public affairs planning with regard to various Muslim and Arab outreach issues including USAID activities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle and Near East and many parts of the Muslim world where AID is present. This includes serving as a liaison with Muslim and Arab American interest groups to brief them on USAID activities in the developing world and coordination of the Agency's participation in events, conferences, and discussions designed to educate the publics about American foreign assistance. In addition, Norquist attends interagency meetings representing USAID on issues related to Arab and Muslim outreach and public diplomacy.

Also, in an earlier job, "she was cultural affairs assistant at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan, where she was responsible for cultural exchange programs between the United States and Jordan."

16 (Pakistani) Muslims reportedly rape Christian girl

Pakistani pre-teen refused to renounce faith during assault

A 12-year-old Christian girl was abducted and gang raped by 16 Muslim men in Pakistan.

The offence occurred at Rawlpindi, bordering Pakistans capital city of Islamabad and the head quarters of Musharraf's Pakistan Army.

According to a news release from the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), Sara Tabasum escaped two weeks later while she was being transported to a new location. APMA reported Tabasum managed to jump out of the vehicle and escape while it was on a busy road. Although the youngster was pursued, she still managed to reach her family.

In the last week of June, APMA reported, according to Tabasum and her family members, Perveen Bibi, a Muslim woman and her husband Babar, rented an apartment next to Tabasums house. Both families shared a single bathroom and main entrance door, APMA said.

It soon became evident to Tabasums family, APMA reported, by the amount of strangers coming and going that their new neighbors owned a brothel.

Tabasums mother and other neighbors complained to the owner of the apartment complex about the activities reportedly being carried on by their new neighbors. As a result, APMA reported, Bibi and her husband were ordered to immediately vacate the apartment. When Bibi found out that Tabasums mother had complained, she warned her that here would be consequences for her actions.

Bibi and her husband, APMA reported, moved their business to another area of the city.

On Sept. 5, APMA stated, Tabasum went out late one night to buy some loaves of bread. She was reportedly abducted by her former neighbors and two other men. According to APMA, "They put a piece of cloth soaked in some intoxicant on her mouth, after which she fainted."

When Tabasum regained consciousness she found herself in Bibis house, where three men reportedly including Babar Bibi, raped her.

Tabasum was reportedly told that by Perveen Bibi that she could be "saved" if she embraced Islam and married one of Perveens Muslim brothers.

According to APMA, "On refusing, Sara was beaten badly during captivity and shifted to another house ... where five persons raped her. She was repeatedly asked by Perveen and other men to embrace Islam and recite (the) Islamic creed to save herself from the misery. Perveens husband Babar even told her that they (had) killed her brother Suleman, and her mother (had) also embraced Islam. (With that in mind), it would be better for her to become (a) Muslim now, otherwise she could be killed or made (a) ‘prostitute."

Tabasum refused to renounce her faith and embrace Islam, APMA reported. She was subsequently taken to another house, where she was reportedly assaulted by seven people.

Finally on Sept. 20, APMA reported a deal was made to sell Tabasum to a gang, and it was at this point while being transported to another location that she jumped out of the vehicle and escaped.

Tabasums mother, meanwhile, had been searching everywhere for her daughter. As a result, when she arrived home her mother was not there.

According to APMA, "Sara was in (a) pathetic and appalling state. Her brother Suleman was shocked to see her in this condition. He arranged for primary medical aid and inquired (about her welfare). She remained in shock and constantly kept crying. After two days when her mother returned home, she narrated the entire incident. Her mother went to the police station to register a case against the perpetrators. Police asked for (a) medical examination and took Sara to the hospital, and later ... police registered a case against (the alleged) culprits."

APMA stated that following the report of the alleged assault to the police, Tabasums family has been threatened and while the police are doing their best to find those responsible for the assault, the "real culprits are not arrested yet as Perveen and Babar run a brothel business and are very influential."

Tabasums mother has asked for prayer, saying in an APMA news release, "I will knock (on) every door to get justice for my beloved daughter."

APMA strongly condemned the abduction, saying in a news release, "It is a horrific, brutal and shameful act, which should be condemned at all levels as it is the insult of humanity itself. The incidents of rape, kidnaping, torture, and gang rape are increasing at an alarming rate, and the victimized women are begging for justice and protection to save their dignity and honor. The official failure to condemn or punish rape is encouraging the perpetrators to continue to commit such heinous crimes."

APMA reported that the organization has demanded the Prime Minister of Pakistan take immediate action in this case, including the issuance of a public statement to condemn the incident. APMA said it has also asked the government authorities to visit the alleged victims family.
