We cannot stay in Iraq for 10 years to make sure they run a democractic humans rights oriented government. We can't even afford to stay there another year. Therefore, it will be up to the Iraqis, not us. Many in the know are predicting civil war which will rage for years. The whole thing could fall apart whether we are there are not. Bottomline, it's a mess. And this all stems from Bush-Cheney's snubbing of the UN and lack of planning.
