"He urged people to cut back...." Yep... maybe this winter he'll order the thermostat at the WH turned down, and recommend the American people wear sweaters? :) (There ain't nothing new under the sun....) Still... revisiting the tens of Billions of pork in the recent highway bill... and the tens of Billions of subsidies (most to energy firms 'suffering' from all time record profits :) in the energy bill... and the five to six Billion being poured out on the sands in Iraq monthly... might go a long way toward correcting our worsening fiscal problems. Some effective pre-emptive accounting oversight of the Billions going into disaster relief here (a lot less no-bid contracts) might be in order as well.
