Man Der~

nice paint job, eh? <g>

those are not common in our region
anymore.
they're quite large and slow-moving.
the Red-backed salamanders are smaller
and quicker - also more numerous.
i like the little blue ones...
those remind me of turquoise jewelry...
finding one in the dark, mossy earth
beneath a piece of wood
is always a bit of a charge.

Clapper and Croc,

<How long did it take you to paint this one?>

Those Spotted Salamanders are enormously powerful! They completely altered the redesign of the 9th hole at our club. We originally were going to expand the green moving it back 20 yards to the east - it was discovered that our little spotted friends inhabited that area of expansion, so we placed the hole 50 yards to the northeast the of habitat. Some folks were pissing and moaning about it, however it worked out as a win/win in the end. The hole is more challenging, picturesque, and our little spotted friends are prospering.
