Well, I am for severely prosecuting ANYONE who price gouges over a catastrophe. Once I was travelling from Texas to Florida. I got to Louisianna and a major hurricane was in effect, I stopped at the welcome center and they called a motel for me and found me a room at an agreed price only 3 miles away, I drove there within 5 minutes, went in and the IRANIAN owner JUMPED the price $40 over quoted on the phone a few minutes earlier. I told him to STUFF IT, there were no police around and I was very TEMPTED to pull down one of the pillars supporting the front of his place with my jeep, my wife stopped me, anyhow, I drove 24 hours STRAIGHT to Gainesville, Fla. got a room there AT A DISCOUNT from an AMERICAN motel owner, discount was because I was a hurricane refugee!! Now my wife wont even stay in any motel run by foreigners. jdn
