Hi Neolib.

You've accurately pegged the tone of the article. It greatest failing, however, is that it doesn't acknowledge the limits of American power to "win" in Iraq. We will not win unless we continue to redefine our "mission" until, finally, we've outlined a narrow "mission" that we can claim to have accomplished.

Like "Alice In Wonderland," the words mean what we mean them to say. Ed
