Boomers is too general a term is some ways. For instance, many boomers are well educated, smart and conservative. Many are not overextended. many, like me, have little or no debt. Many have extensive real estate holdings inherited from their hard working folks. They may have to tighten up a bit but should do well.

I see a bigger problem with the next generation down, IOW the boomers' kids. Now that is where I see a lot of speculation in property going on.

So baby boomers will be able to sell their expensive houses and live off the proceeds?

Who will they sell them to? Their children make less money than they do in a environment of global labor arbitrage.
