Z, I must admit that I only read one little section of your blog. I only asked because I saw that little blurb about the iPod Nano, and I'm considering getting it for my wife, who had her old iPod Mini stolen. It was pink, too, while the Nano only comes in black or white. (Maybe Apple is also unable to "see in color" ... j/k)

As for the delicate shell, I'd probably purchase a sleeve to go along with it, especially if it's going to be jostled around in my wife's handbag. But at the store, I accidentally dropped a Nano like 18 inches (clumsy me), but it was still playing music. Personally, I think that's more durable than the old iPods, which have miniature hard drives in them.
