I think it was such a great shock to her. She said she was prepared but I don't think you can ever prepare your own self for seeing something like that. Dead bodies floating around, neighbors of family that you have known. It's just not something you can ever really steel up for.

My brother-in-law said it was like being in war with the exception of the bombs. You just never forget the first time you see such death and destruction like that.
