No, Saddam never planned terrorism against the US and hadn't had WMD's for 10 years. All the "evidence" put out there by the Bushies leading into the war has been debunked. It was all twisted, fabricated and exaggerated so as to back Cheney's argument that Saddam was mixed up with Al Qaida and 9-11. Actually, he had nothing to do with either one.

The real crime here was that the Bushies deliberately deceived us, and congress. If it was simple incompetence that would be one thing, but it was deliberate deceit. There was also gross incompetence but that came once they started the war.

That's because we created more terrorists by this invasion. Wrong move for the wrong reasons.

There were a whole host of positive things that could have been done in Iraq. With good diplomatic programs using incentives we would have had much more success in Iraq and still ridded the place of Saddam.
