Hey RR.

Ya, I was disappointed the Steelers lost. I'll tell you what
though, I love close games between two good teams.

Did you hear about the clock snafu though?

When I posted to you on Sunday, the Steelers had just scored
& the game was tied with only 1:21 left to play. Only there
wasn't really 1:21 left.........

We was robbed! <gg>

Steelers vs. Patriots: The Clock Snafu

PITTSBURGH -- Tom Brady drove the Patriots to victory in the last 1:21 of the fourth quarter Sunday.

There is now evidence that Brady should have gotten the ball with 29 seconds left on the clock.

A game clock error took place before millions of viewers nationwide.

But no one noticed until Monday.

In the early stages of the fourth quarter, the clock in the upper right hand corner of the screen said there were 14:51 seconds left in the quarter.

As the clock started to roll, the Steelers ran a reverse to Cedrick Wilson -- an ill-advised play that nets absolutely no yardage.

The clock was still running after the play.

On next play, the Steelers dropped back to pass -- which was immediately stopped when the referee threw a flag.

That stopped the clock.

The time remaining -- 13:59.

As the referees announced the false start penalty against the Steelers, the clock suddenly went from 13:59 to 14:51.

An additional 52 seconds was added onto the clock by the time-keeper -- and nobody noticed.

That extra time might have made the difference between the Steelers and Patroits going to over-time -- and the Patriots winning in regulation.

Channel 4 Action News contacted the Steelers.

The team said they did not notice the clock error until Monday afternoon.

The best case scenario --- the team will get an apology from the NFL.
